Anyone having difficulty posting this afternoon?

Took me a couple of minutes to find the back way in.

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

Well, awhile ago I could type naznet.com, and then sit and watch one letter appear about every 2.5-3 seconds (yes, THAT slow!) in the address bar, but tho't it was the i'net hookup b/c seemed nearly that slow on a couple other sites ... ???

Re: Who will be the last person to add to this thread?

13 posts this time and mine got 3 hours and 6 minutes and 14 minutes .

Speaking of Timmy's I've been getting a peppermint tea whenever I'm out which usually is 2 to 3 times in a week . After 5 play agains I got a free " coffee " ( peppermint tea ) , then 3 more a free donut, and a couple more later another free " coffee " .Today's was a "play again " . Most years I have to be satisfied " winning " just once so three times so far this year is just great . And so far , they haven't run out of any cup sizes .

After all those record breaking high temp days we now are getting days that are well below the normals for those days . Can't win . Oh well , that nice weather was great while it lasted .

In New Brunswick they have deluxe cups.

Re: Who will be the last person to add to this thread?

They have to have French on the cups to be able to sell them in Canada , Gina .

By the way there was a car winner from Ottawa this year .

And a few years back my friend won a large screen TV . She bought far more there than I ever have though .

I've never won anything other than food items and I believe only donuts and coffees . Don't remember any other prize I got . But this year I am 3 times more a winner than last year and its not over yet . You know the chances are getting less when they run out of some size cups . So now I always ask after a few weeks into the contest if they have them all. So far its been "yes " so I get small which until a month or so ago was the medium . They have resized when they raised the prices a bit .

Current temp here is 24º and we slated for snow with ice pellets and maybe freezing rain Tuesday .

Yes, I know re French in Canada, Marg ... Have even gotten lost on Montreal subway long sgo.

Was just realizing, tho', that with cups being made differently, there could be some difference of one's chances between here & there.

New Brunswick law requires that all public notices or whatnot be written in both french and english. They are officially bi-lingual.

I haven't gotten one of those cups in quebec yet, perhaps they may be printed only in french but I'm not sure.

Maybe Marge could help. I'm wondering if the cups are english only in Ontario?

Entire country the cups are bilingual . All cereal boxes , cans , you name it . As a child I used to notice that the French took more space - more wordy !

Chances are 1 in 6 wherever you live . The Timmy's I got my tea at yesterday in Almonte ( a small town but full of real craft type businesses but only 1 Tim's ) had had over 7,000 winners ! We sure do love our Tim's . Ones in Ottawa have between 3-4,000 at the various ones I have visited ( 3 are near enough)

    Down to 18º now . BRRRR !!!

18 degrees? Isn't that nice and warm? Or do you mean 18 of our degrees?

I have my weather source - Canada's Federal one , with the locale preferred , Ottawa /Kanata, on Fahrenheit. I grew up with it , still prefer it as there are a lot more days above zero with it and since I write daily to my relatives in the States its saves " translating " all the time .

By the way , Jim , congratulations on your lesser snarf of #7171 .

    11 posts today . Mine got 20 minutes , 47 minutes and 1 hour and 11 minutes .

What I got a snarf unaware? Thanks, I need to pay closer attention, although I do have a post it note reminding me to get #10,000

Just thinking that 18 degrees Celsius would have made it a pleasant outdoor day for you up there!

I think my big thing with Thunder Storms was when I was working full time and going to school full time. I loved it when it rained because it meant I actually had a day off. And for those who say Sunday should have been my day off well it really wasn't I woke up at the same time that I had to on days I worked and was pretty much of the whole day. So when storms blew in I had actually day off to do things I did not get to do otherwise. It was a day of relaxation and renewal.

Good reason. Maybe that is part of the reason why I love a good snow storm.

Re: Who will be the last person to add to this thread?

    Hey!

I finally got around to cropping and posting my new avatar pic.

I figure since the snow is gone then maybe the message "vive le hiver" just wasn't quite right.

A while back while out riding I passed by "Wiley Road". Hmmmmm, I though, I should get a picture of that sign. So I turned around and headed back the five miles to get a picture of the sign. It would have only been a few hundred feet, but I wasn't thinking all that fast.

Here is the whole picture. I still need to post the rest over at the photography forum, but then again I still have to get around to a lot of things.

Sorry about the yelling, I was excited!

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

I am kind of confused - what got your attention with the stop sign and wiley road?
