You click on each of the messages you want to reply to with the multiquote icon and then use the "reply with quote" button. That's it!

    And this is the result.

Thanks Mike and Hans! I didn't know how to do it either. It was one of the questions that I forgot to ask Hans at the conference.

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

That will give me the multiple quotes. In this case they are minimal in size. To multi quote a large post with several points, must I cut paste and edit to respond to multiple points in a post?

Yes, that's correct. The solution mentioned only works for combining separate posts, not for splitting up a single large one.

No, you don't have to cut/paste. Just "multi-quote" the whole thing, and then delete the portion(s) not needed, like you normally delete things ... highlight and then "delete" button.

Hans was posting @ the same time, I see. To me, it's easier to just multi-quote, & then delete a portion, than to type in the {quote=poster's name} and the {/quote} at the end of what's been copied/pasted. Sometimes, if you've got several quotes, you may even forget who said what if you're cutting/pasting some things. If they're quoted/then edited down via deletion, their name is there already.

BTW, those {}s are here so they will show ... and it's the square brackets that are actually used for quotes to appear as they do.

I've thought about doing this before, but this thread inspired me to do it. You'll find a video tutorial on this topic at: http://www.naznet.com/community/show...-to-multiquote
