2022 World Cup - Where will she be ? USA most likely.
I get ESPN Intl. Sportscenter which has a ton of futbol coverage along with Formual One, Cricket, and other non North American sports..
At any rate they were having discussion about the 2022 host country being selected this week by FIFA and the pundits saying it would most likely be the USA with strong contention from KOREA, Australia, n Qatar . The Panel said that with the incredible sports facilities already available in the US, the fact that US fans outnumbered all other markets in South Africa, and that the match between USA and Ghana TV audience in the USA out rated the NBA finals and the World series this year would push FIFA toward naming the USA has host. And of course the USA hosting would bring the most revenue. Also I am sure FIFA would love to continue to grow the sport in the US.
They also mentioned that most intl fans polled were against the USA hosting the world cup. No reasons were given. Why do you think that would be the case? Are soccer fans globally glad the US as whole has yet to turn on to soccer?
