So I Had a Little Chat With Sarah Palin

Yesterday I spent 12 hours of my life to get Sarah Palin to sign her book for me in the first stop of her book tour in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was lots of fun. What a great person. My wife and I were on Good Morning America, she also had her picture in the Detroit Free Press, and I am quoted and pictured on Inside Edition. On the actual episode of tonight's show there was a breif interview with me after Sarah signed my book. Here's a link if anyone is interested:

    She has incredible charisma.

That is great! It's still way early in the game, but I am starting to see a lot of similarities between Sarah and the greatest president we ever had Ronald Wilson Reagan. He also had simple ideas that he had faith in, and he also left the details to the hired help.

Randy I made it to Barnes and Noble after prayer meeting. The crowd was still lined up to the center of the mall at 8:40. She really draws a crowd. It will be interesting to see what role this she in the future.

One of our Idaho originals is doing very well, thank you, Randy. Some will remember that after reading an article about Sarah Palin in December of 2007 or January of 2008 in our Idaho Statesman I posted on this forum that whomever the GOP nominee was that I thought that Sarah Palin would make a good VP candidate. I was not all that favorable to McCain until he chose her as his running mate. She may not have had all the information available as a Hillary Clinton with eight years in the White House and she was not nominated, but what governor does. They are charged with doing their best at governing their own state. It is obvious that the rookie that is in there now didn't either but she had more executive experience than 0HB. Ronald Reagan was small town Illinois with sportscasting experience and Palin is small town Idaho and Alaska with sportscasting experience, both with more common sense than a lot of the beltway career types. A fellow church member here in Boise was a classmate of Sarah's in Wasilla and she says that Sarah comes across much the same now as then.

While I certainly cannot claim to be jealous, I am very excited for you! That is really cool. Congratulations. I hope the book is good and that she does well with it!

Leaving the details to the "hired help" resulted in the Iran-Contra scandal, tripling the national debt and the "hired help" (GHW Bush) being defeated in the 1992 election. Is that really the outcome Republicans want to repeat?

Come on Mike, you can do better than that! No wait, maybe not.

I'm old enough to have been adversely affected by Jimmy Carter. Ronald Reagan was the best I have seen in my time. I really miss that guy!
