My answer is this: Because the forum is not private, it doesn't matter where I post, really. I can post on the general board, and just as many people see it as see the women's board, because when you click on "new posts" it's all together anyway. Call me old fashioned, but I really miss the old board because I felt like we could talk about intimate subjects pertaining to women and not fear that men were "watching" somehow. These days, if a man clicks on "new posts" he is responding to a women's board post before he realizes it sometimes!!! So, to have a separate board for women is really a moot point right now the way it is set up.

Moderators have suggested that I create a private social group on naznet and invite women to participate. By doing that no one else can view what is being said.

I do not mind hosting this forumn and in fact I enjoy it. However, if I am just typing into outer space and no one is interested then I'm wasting my time.

So, I am assuming Dana that you would be interested possibly in a closed group.

I know that we are all busy with jobs, families and obligations and can't participate all the time. I am busy also with work, caring for my Mother, and outside activities I am involved in plus church.

Much like Dana , I post on the other boards . I do read here and depending on the topic may post but haven't much of late as I didn't have anything to contribute . I'd be willing to try the private group and give it a chance .

I'd try the private board, too ... but, as Dana mentioned, I too click on "New Posts," and it pulls them up from every forum on here.

I like this group, but I haven't posted much because there never seems to be much happening here. Also, I am only a sometimes naznetter. I would like in the private group though.

The Private Women's Group sounds good. I just accepted the invite a little while ago and in fact posted on the group.

I don't get on NazNet as much as I use to since I joined Facebook in Oct. 2009.

I'm going to try and stop by here more often.

Accepted the invite when it appeared, but don't see the forum now. [asked if anyone had posted, and was told they had, but it hasn't shown up in my list]

Someplace since I asked that we find it other than in our normal forum list?

I joined but found I wasn't seeing the forum . Have to click on your profile and then near the bottom on the ladies group and then the forum comes up . Doesn't show up if you just click on new posts . I don't always think to take that round about route to check what might be there .Don't know if there is a simpler way ???

One way to do it is to click on "What's new" at the top of this page [upper left]. When you are in the what's new page, near that area where you click in smaller print it will say "new group messages". Click on that and if there are new messages you can click on them. Or you can click on "forum" at the top of the page then click on "community" and then groups.

Then I discovered last night how to make it so that I know about responses. In the group page, go to the upper right hand corner where it says group tools and click on subscribe to this group. Click on it and go from there.

Oh, I guess I tho't -- since the HOST forum post do show up in "New Posts" -- that this would show up in "New Posts" too. Apparently set up differently than the HOSTS' forum, tho' it, too, is private. Wonder why it's not set up to just show up in "New Posts" like the hosts' posts do. Hmmm ....

Instructions:

Sign into naznet
at the top of the page click on community
then click on groups
if you have accepted the invitation the ladies group should appear as one of your groups
click on the group name

Is there any way to get the newer posts to appear at the top in a thread ? Its cumbersome looking for " new " posts and having to scroll right to the bottom to see if there are any, and having to do it for each thread . My Regular Nazet starts with the latest posts . Didn't see a way to change it but maybe there is .

I am not sure. The posts appear with the most current date at the top. when you open the post the replies however are listed from first to last and I do not know how to change that.

This one (that does not appear private) has the "view first unread" at the top. However, in the privately set-up "group" now, it's too bad we can't have it set up as a "forum" (like the hosts), and then they'd pop up in "new posts."

Don't always remember to check my "profile" to see about groups. So, if I don't show up there much, I'm not ignoring it; just overlooking going to "profile" to check groups. ;o)

Go to the group. In the upper right hand corner it says tools. Click on subscribe to group. It will give you a choice of how you want to be notified of any new posts. I clicked on daily email. After doing that I also noticed that in my settings page it will show me when there is something new in the group. Click on it [if it shows anything] and it will take you to it.

Thanks for the invitation! I usually only check the General forum, but I'll try to remember to check in here once in a while. I subscribed so I'll be getting emails when there are new posts. The Women's forum was how I was first introduced to NazNet back in 2000. I don't remember how I stumbled on it. It was weeks before I realized there were other forums.
