Where can I find the forum rules? I can't remember which forums require minimum number of postings before posting.

Hmm... I didn't find that information anywhere obvious in the FAQs or as a sticky on the affected boards. I think it's just the "theology" and "current event" forums that are restricted, but I may be wrong. Hopefully, someone can enlighten us and point out where that information can be found.
Welcome to NazNet, by the way.

During the registration process, there's an item that states:
Then, when a person registers they receive an email. One of the items in that email is:Remember, if you are registering to post on the Current Events or Theology forums newly registered users must be members for at least 10 days and do at least 10 posts prior to having posting privileges to those forums.
It's also in a sticky at the top of the CE forum, but isn't in the Theology forum. Please remember that newly registered users must be members for at least 10 days and do at least 10 posts prior to having posting privileges on the Current Events or Theology forums.
Still, I understand that in their excitement at joining NazNet (who wouldn't be excited!) that some may overlook both of those statements so I've now added the same information to the FAQ.
Sorry for the confusion.
Also, can I assume that the "thanks button" will show up when I have met that criteria?
Maybe you still haven't posted enough, Edith. I have a request for you. I wanted to show someone the photo you posted pre-crash of a sculpture at SNU. When I did a google search several months ago, your no-longer existing NazNet post was the only hit with a photo from the google archives and, of course, the link didn't work.
Could you post the photo again sometime? (Maybe that would be the tipping point for the "thanks" button for you.)

"No scripture can mean that God is not love, or that his mercy is not over all his works" (John Wesley - Free Grace, 26)
I was referring to the professor. I don't think I've seen the soldier.
Hans, how is a "senior member" (my status) officially different from a "regular member" (Edith's status)? The fact that I and other senior members can use the "thanks" button and upload pictures and she cannot seems to indicate a difference in privileges, but I don't know what triggers the status upgrade. Whatever it is, Edith would have been a "senior" member before the crash. Is there a way to upgrade her status? Does anyone know what triggers an automatic upgrade?

Yes, that's all it is. We can set up a whole series of titles based on posts, reputation, etc. That doesn't have any bearing on privileges. I know people tend to say "NazNet won't let me" but unless more than one person is having the problem is likely on their side - NazNet isn't blocking them from doing anything. If I could help I would but it's pretty much out of my league to tell people what setting they have wrong. Sometimes when I have something going on that no one else is reporting I try a different web browser. If it works with a different browser I know that there's a setting on my computer that needs to be adjusted.
Thanks for the info Scott; don't know how I missed it.
Thanks button showed up today and I did not change any settings or browsers.........
