The other day Edwin was here and I had him listen to some MP3 I took from an old album by a Dutch folk duo, Elly & Rikkert, singing in Dutch. Unfortunately, it wasn't all that good anymore, lots of scratches and the like, old timers like me will remember those. Anyway, I figured the album deserved better so I checked the internet for a CD. Nowhere to be found, till I finally did find one in a webstore from Connecticutt, of all places! So I ordered it and today, got it in the mail.
This is a link to the first song of the album:
Translated, the lyrics are:
In heaven and on earth
the love of His voice is heard
All that lives and has breath
only sings of Him
Sing your song and He will hear you
in temple or in a stable
whether you're here or there
it matters not, He's everywhere
Isn't it beautiful? (Obviously, my lousy translation doesn't do it justice, but in Dutch, the words just flow naturally)
