    My best dinner to date

I will put a picture and recipe up a little later, but I wanted to brag about the dinner I cooked for a friend Thursday night.

Rack of Lamb with a pear sauce
    Sautéed tomatoes with basil
    Garlic mashed potatoes
    Lemon-coriander asparagus

Knocked it out of the ballpark!
    - Ben

Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death! And to those in the tombs, bestowing life!
Χριστὸς ἀνέστη ἐκ νεκρῶν, θανάτῳ θάνατον πατήσας! καὶ τοῖς ἐν τοῖς μνήμασι, ζωὴν χαρισάμενος!
Thanks Cecil Wallace, Diane Likens, Shea Zellweger - "thanks" for this post

Yum! Love lamb! The rest sounds pretty good, too.

    Pear Sauce:

Boiled 5 Bosch Pears in moscato white wine with a split vanilla bean, 6 star anise, and some butter. When the pears were soft enough, they were put in a food processor with some more butter and a little bit of the liquid in the pan and blended until smooth.

    Rack of Lamb:

    Rosemary, Sage, Salt, Pepper, Garlic

    Tomatoes:

Cherry tomatoes sautéed in white wine with basil

    Asparagus:

Sautéed in lemon juice with ground coriander

You've put up the recipe, but where's the picture of your friend?

The picture we took seems to have been lost.

So like what's next for you an episode of Chopped or Top Chef with you wearing a clerical collar under your Chef's Coat?

    Blessings

Haha, no. Neither of those look fun to me. People ask me all the time why I don't consider a career as a chef.

    (1) I've never met a chef who had fun while at work unless they were the top dog after years, and years, and years - I don't ever want cooking to not be fun
    (2) I have enough debt racked up for my current career path. No way I'd make it without culinary training, and not sure I can afford that
    (3) I like what I'm doing now, and would rather keep racking up debt on that front!
