I thought I was done with menopause and had managed to get through with almost no symptoms. A few months ago I started having hot flashes and night sweats. Has anyone else had this experience over a year after ending their cycles.

What's strange is how ... oh, nevermind. What I was thinking is for another thread.![]()

I had a hysterectomy at age 45 (uterus, tubes, and ovaries), and I can count on one hand the number of hot flashes I have had....and on no hormones! ...I hope that after 8 years, I don't start having any symptoms now!!!!
But, yes, the symptoms can be on and off for several years before they're finally "finished" and kaput!!!
It's been almost 11 years since my hysterectomy. Just last night was a looooonnnnnnggggg night of trying to drift off, almost getting there, then the fire flaring up again. Three tepid showers later, I finally fell asleep at about 2 a.m.
Joe tries really hard to understand, bless his heart! Mostly he just stays clear of me.
