I have been looking for Jon's pictures on the Challenge 09/17 thread, but he seems to have disappeared again for a while......

Dana,

I'm here... sort of...

I actually didn't get to shoot my own challenge. Instead of shooting an event that my local church was involved in I ended up speaking with a company showing them my work in hows of adding them as a clients. I never even got to use my camera that day.

I'm shooting a fair number of senior pictures (for me). I usually don't shoot many, mainly because I don't advertise for them. This year though I'm reaping the rewards (if you can call shooting senior pictures a reward) of my donating my time and skills to the local school band program. Most of the seniors I've shot so far are band members and know me because of my donation work with them.

Keep in mind that I'm not a portrait photographer, I shoot products - mainly because they don't talk back or complain. I can arrange them as needed or shoot them in the middle of the night and they don't complain! Shooting senior pictures is quite the change for me... I have to keep reminding myself that I can't just grab my subject and move them as needed... I need to be polite, ask them to listen to my directions, and then finally ask them if I can move their body into the position I just explained to them... all while I have a helicopter mother peering over my shoulder..... ;>)
