    Your church might be post-traditional

My entry into the 'you might be x if you y' genre... enjoy.

Your church might be post-traditional if:
    • A denomination is seeking to assimilate you or reel you back in
    • A denomination is trying to take credit for what you are doing
    • A denomination is preaching against what you are doing
btw, denominations are defenders of a particular tradition, so you would expect them to see a post-traditional group as a threat to their well-being.
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us wthout end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

"Love without holiness disintegrates into sentimentality. Personal integrity is lost. But holiness without love is not holiness at all. In spite of its label, it displays harshness, judgmentalism, a critical spirit, and all its capacity for discrimination end in nit-picking and divisiveness."-Mildred Bangs Wynkoop
