"But by the grace of God I am what I am." (1 Cor. 15:10)
My families involvement:
Olivet: I am an alum (1973), also my Mom and Dad are alums (1950)
MidAmerica: I am in my 31st year as a faculty member, and my sister attended for a year and a half.
My brother is currently a member of the Board of Trustees.
SNU: my Dad was on the board for a number of years, including the year the sheriff showed up with subpoenas for board members!
Northwest: my Dad served on their board and a sister is an alum
Eastern: my Dad attended there his freshman year
Trevecca: I have a sister who is a graduate from there
Mount Vernon: I was there several times the year before they opened and represented them as Captain of their first regional Bible Quiz team (1968)
Bible College: two brothers are alumni
Seminary: no family connection, however I am up there frequently to take care of my niece's German Shepherds just across the parking lot from King Conference center!
Point Loma: never been there, too far away (interpret that anyway you want!)
Have you ever heard of our school in Institute West Virginia? (It was for training African American students and merged with Bible College by 1968). I was there in 1951 while my Dad helped with construction work....but I was just a few months old and have no memories. My Mom does tell me that the wife of a very prominent person baby sat me and changed my diapers while they worked there.

Husband attended ENC, but I personally have not been to that campus.
Olivet -- many times, including as a student for two years
Nazarene Theological Seminary -- probably saw it first in 1968 at my first General Ass'y; my daughter was married there in March and lives across the street
Nazarene Bible College -- family vacations in 1971 and 2007
Trevecca -- first time may have been in 1976 while an Olivet student doing a January term trip to Florida
Mid-America -- at least twice during Kansas City trips; not sure when
Eastern Nazarene College -- family vacation in 1996
Southern Nazarene University -- General Bible Quiz in 1998 (still have the t-shirt)
Point Loma -- family vacation in 2002
Northwest Nazarene University -- conference in 2009
I really need to get to Mt. Vernon sometime but it's not on the way to anywhere!

I attended ENC and NTS. I lived in Colorado Springs and spent some time on NBC's campus. I have visited Trevecca, Point Loma, SNU, and NNU - visits of several days each, some of them several times.
I have never been to Olivet or Mount Vernon - or to any of the educational institutions outside the US.

The only one in Australia...... ANTC; i.e. Australasia Nazarene Theological College (Back in the 1970's and later in the 1990's)
I'm now considering Doctoral work at the ACU.... "Australian Catholic University"

(Just an aside: in the late 60's while in the U.S. military I lived with the Nazarene missionaries on the campus (compound) of the Korea Bible College. Then it was just three very small one-or two room cement buildings. They tell me I would not believe what it is like now. I sure hope to return someday.)
I have been at SNU at my wife's various reunions.
I have participated on a BBS based out of Olivet. I'm not sure if that counts.

I don't remember having visited TNU, SNU, or NBC, but it's possible that I have. I know I've not visited NNU.
Lived at Trevecca for a couple of years as a child (my parents were Deans of Students there). Attended Bethany (pre-SNU days). Visited both PC and Pt Loma a number of times (son graduated from PLNU). Closest I ever got to ENC was visiting the First Parish Church in Quincy where I believe John Adams is buried. Closest I ever got to NBC was getting lost in Colorado Springs trying to find the freeway. Visited the Indian school in Albuquerque (sp?) and the Latin Am school in San Antonio. Think I was driven by the school in Institute, WV, on one of manty visits to grandparents in Charleston. Never went to NTS, ONU, NNU, Mid Am.

I spend at few days at NNU at least a couple of times a year. Sometimes more. Other than that . . .

Indonesia Nazarene Theological College
Nazarene Theological College (Brisbane, Australia)
I took district quiz teems to Q events (national tournaments) at Olivet and Southern. I attended NNU on campus for two years, and I'm frequently there for regional NYI activities. When I attended NNU, I went to Australia and Papua New Guinea on tour with the brass ensemble. We didn't really spend any time on the campus in Brisbane, but we passed through. I stopped by the bookstore at NBC a few years back when I was passing through CO Springs. And finally, three years ago I went to Indonesia to visit my older brother, a U.S. State Department employee, who was assigned there at the time. While there, he helped me find the college and we visited with some missionaries for a bit.
Rob Bell, Love WinsSo when the gospel is diminished to a question of whether or not a person will “get into heaven,” that reduces the good news to a ticket, a way to get past the bouncer and into the club. The good news is better than that.
"No scripture can mean that God is not love, or that his mercy is not over all his works" (John Wesley - Free Grace, 26)
Oh, I nearly forgot. Back in 1978 (I think?) I was privileged to be a part of the International Student Mission team that toured the Philippines. We did our "orientation" period at the Nazarene Bible College campus on the Island of Luzon (high up in the mountains.... a much more pleasant climate than on the coast), and later while a part of the team assigned to Metro Manila I was able to visit (with a Missionary, the Reverend Burchart) the site of the future campus of the Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in Manila...... so I sort of attended a Nazarene Seminary before I even completed my undergraduate work.

Wow. This is a well traveled bunch. I have been to all the American Nazarene schools except for NNU & ENC. I have been to the District Training Center in Addis Ababa, but I don't think that qualifies even though they have probably trained more practicing Nazarene pastors in the last decade than all of our American Nazarene schools combined. They have lofty aspirations in Ethiopia.
