    "The Lord Bless You and Keep You"

    111230 The Lord Bless You and Keep You

    The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ~ Numbers 6:26

    The Lord bless you and keep you.
    The Lord lift His countenance upon you,
    And give you peace, and give you peace.
    The Lord make His face to shine upon you
    And be gracious, and be gracious;
    The Lord be gracious, gracious unto you.

    Re: "The Lord Bless You and Keep You"

    Nelson, what a treat! I was privileged to be a student at Mentor High School, Mentor Ohio in the 1970's, and focused on music. My band director, choir director, and orchestra director were all Christians who also lead their church's choirs.

    Ted Hieronymous, "Mr H" to us kids, was our choir director, and I also attended his Methodist church. Our A Cappella choir ended each and every concert of the year with this song in perfect harmony, and it was beautiful. It has stayed with me all these years. So glad you posted this.

    BTW, Mr Stalheim, our band director and former Marine drill officer, always prayed us out onto the field at every football game, home or away. We (120 musicians) gathered in the end zone and he prayed quietly over his bull horn. So glad I went to school when I could be overtly influenced by these great teachers.
    Thanks Susan Unger, Nelson Bradford - "thanks" for this post
