I can't believe that no one noticed an upgrade I did to the forum last weekend. At least no one commented on it.
The "Quick Reply" box is now a full featured editor, the same as the "Advanced" one.

I actually noticed this afternoon when I posted something.......but just thought I wasn't remembering right! At my age, you can't be certain
THANKS. It will be a nice feature to have.

I noticed. I just didn't say anything.![]()
For a bit there, I wasn't sure if the changes were permanent, were still changing, etc.
Looks good.Thanks!
Like Bill, I thought maybe my memory was off.

By the way - it's not as though I'd notice had I not done it. I'm not especially known for my powers of observation - especially colors - I have no color retention at all.
I was just curious as to whether or not people would notice. I see that several did - just didn't post about it.
I have never been offered a prize of any sort for being observant. I didn't notice the change in the quick reply box. But I did wonder earlier today how long the "hottest threads/posts" link has been on the "community" dropdown menu. Is that also a change or am I putting my lack of observation skills on display here?

So that's why my default settings changed to the "threaded" view last week...

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

Gotta admit that I didn't really notice. I did notice the threaded view change, and sort of noticed that the reply box might be different.

Well I didn't notice. I did notice certain emotion icons have been missing since the reboot of Naznet. What happen to the green smile without the wings and halo? Also the one with the mouth wide open in shock or surprise. I can't remeber what the label was.

Twelve counties are on Central/Chicago time (including my own), but most of the state is on Eastern time, and since 2006 the whole state observes daylight savings time.
More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_in_Indiana
FYI, it's not that confusing now that the whole state observes daylight savings time. What was confusing was when the Eastern time parts of the state didn't, but the Central time parts did. Half the year the whole state was together, and half the year the Eastern part was ahead. Our district (NW Indiana) includes both time zones.

It should be less confusing, but I am still confused because I can't remember what has changed and what hasn't [decades of learned behavior doesn't change overnight]. It used to be that my uncle in Indy area was with us in PA part of the time and part not. Another cousin in Jasper Co. was the same, I think. But then down the road in the next county or up the road within her same county, her parents and one of our aunts would be on different times. Then there were the fam in Newton Co who were always on Chicago time even during daylight savings times. Now, I can't recall which ones are with me and which ones aren't other than the ones in Newton Co. So whenever we have family get togethers we still have to remind people of the various time changes. My Mitch Daniels loving relatives say this time change thing is the only thing they don't like about Daniels' admistrration [said kind of TIC I think].
On a side note, this reminds me of when I was visiting one of these aunts who live near the time zone borders. I was spending the night there before my Olivet reunion. I sat on the bed to set the alarm on my cell phone and then put it in the far side of the bedroom. The next morning, the alarm went off an hour later. I picked it up, sat on the bed, looking at the phone and wondering why it was messing with me on this important day. I got up to go downstairs. As I did so, I happened to notice that as I walked near where the phone had rested all night long the time changed automatically to an hour later. My introduction to the joys of life living on the edge.

CORRECTION!! It has not changed! It depends on what page one is on what one sees. It is still in a precarious place when not on a particular forum! Oh, well . . . . . . .

After being frustrated once again (has happened quite a few times) with accidentally getting ALL the posts/forums marked as read sometime in the last couple of days, because this thing (tablet browser) will jump, & that "mark as read" button was just below the "What's New?" button, so would accidentally get clicked, that button has been moved to underneath "forum actions." Thank you.
There will be some posts tho' that will just not get read that I would have liked to, b/c once they get to be many pages with there just not being any way to tell where you were in the thread reading, cannot wade through them from the beginning again. So I, therefore, really appreciate this after the accidental wipeout happening too many times.![]()

Gina, you might consider using the lightweight mode for viewing on a tablet (you select this at the bottom of any page on Naznet ). The Mark Forums Read link is at the bottom of the lightweight page. You also only need to click on New Posts to only get what you haven't read. Then when you click on a title you go directly to what you haven't read. The only drawback is that you can't see when you receive a PM or other notifications. You can switch back to your default view to see those.
