I believe Apples announcement of textbooks for the ibooks2 ipad app is going to be a world changer on how students obtain and use their textbooks. A free app was also launched through the iTunes store for creating such textbooks. So instead of lugging around heavy books you just carry your iPad. Also the ibooks textbooks can always be kept up to date.
