Waiting for God to Answer?
Waiting for God to Answer?
by Aletha Hinthorn
Notice how specifically God answers prayer. Moses prayed, "If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways" (Exodus 33:13). The psalmist wrote "He made known his ways to Moses" (Ps 103:7).
God doesn't do things randomly. He does them in answer to specific prayers. One day in Bible study, Carol asked a question that I did not know how to answer. That week, I repeatedly asked God to teach her from His Word.
The next week, Carol said, "I'm amazed that I had so much time to sit on the patio and read the Bible this past week."
God also answers prayer at the precise time we need the answer. Galatians 4:4 says that "when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman." The Amplified says "But when the proper time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman." Often we might say regarding our prayers, "In the nick of time God answered." What God calls the "fullness of time" may seem to be in the "nick of time" to us.
When our prayer isn't answered although we have trusted His promises, we can know that it will come and it will come at the right time.
Thank You, Father, for knowing the best way and time to answer our prayers.
"Then you will know that I am the LORD; those who hope in me will not be disappointed" (Isaiah 49:23).
Memory Verse for January "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2).

Re: Waiting for God to Answer?
Thankfully, I am seeing God move and answer peoples' prayers in church, now. Had a nice time of prayer and conversation tonight that ended in Holy Spirit led prayer.
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. 1 John 4:18a
