    Teaching three Generations

I accompanied a lady in our church who has been teaching Religious Instruction classes in our state schools for about 70 years.... She's 91 years of age and is teaching the Grade one RI class for our denomination.

Today she said to one little boy in class..... "Oh I remember teaching your father and grandfather about God..... I'm sure you'll do better than them!"

    Cute

My mother was an elementary music teacher to several little country schools when I was a kid. I went to a retirement dinner for one of her collegues. Many former students stood up to talk about life as a first grader with Mrs. Ritter. One man stood up and said "you taught my dad, me and my son...you'll be missed in our family." I remembe thinking as a 5 year old "W.O.W!!!!! She's O................L.................D.......!!!!!!! !"
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. 1 John 4:18a

Yes Vera is a dear old lady..... almost blind (I'm her eyes for reading) and unsteady on her feet.... but she loves Jesus and the kids, and they in turn absolutely adore her.
