    Desktop calendar

I'd like to have a calendar on my Windows 7 desktops (both computers) where I can simply click to get this month/click forward for next month, etc.

Anybody know where I can find - but would prefer hearing from someone who actually has/uses.

If you tell me I've already got one on my computer I'll probably shoot myself.

    Re: Desktop calendar

I have "Google Desktop" installed, which has a sidebar that always appears on my screen. I have my sidebar on the right hand side, and it only takes up a couple of inches. I have a widescreen monitor, so I still have plenty of screen space for everything else.

Anyway... the Google Sidebar lets you install widgets that always appear on your computer. I use the calendar widget and the weather/snowglobe widget. You can also put in newsfeeds and other interesting/useful widgets.

The calendar widget displays a simple number calendar, and you can quickly page through the different months. You can link it to a Google Calendar account, and put your own information into Google Calendar, so that shows up as well. My wife and I both use Google Calendar to organize our daily schedules... and our phones and the computer all display a color-coded version of both of our calendars. But you can also just use the simple calendar if you want.

    Hope that helps.

I'm with Jon. Using Google Calendar is the best option and you can get your calendar on any computer by logging in. If you get a smart phone it will also sync there as well. I probably have about 10 different calendars I have access to.

I use a free desktop calendar called.....are you ready? DESKTOP CALENDAR. It is free, but you can buy it if you want more features with it, which I did. But it was only $19 or something.......Of course I've had it for years, so it may not be free anymore......here's the link:

Very simple to set up and use.

    Re: Desktop calendar

I keep it on my desk top -- I use the very small version of it so it only takes up a tiny space........ here's a snippet of my desktop today....
