Rashad was doing lunge stretches with the same weight I feel good maxing out on in squats at the gym. Incredible.
Yeah, and to think these guys have to be committed to a rigorous routine for at least a decade. BTW, I hate lunges, my butt is so stinking soar from doing them this week.
I don't think the plates in the pic are the standard 35 lb plates and they look pretty different too. Toward the end I saw the trainer pull them off and throw them on the floor like they were much lighter. Two plates on each side and a bar would be 205 lbs. You don't just throw that around as he did, I don't care who you are.
I love how the rocky work out music has become so iconic for workout videos. The plates are rubber and the white ones indicate 5 lbs during one of the shots. Most of the time you want to train your athletes who play different positions a little different than the others. Because they will tend to use their muscles in a different way. Even though in middle school and high school they tend to have a one fits all attitude.
