    Distruction/vandalism=celebration

I do not get it. When little Boise State University won the Fiesta Bowl in 2007 over the great and storied Sooners, celebrators here in Boise milled around the downtown area yelling and tooting car horns but there were no arrests or vandalism. Maybe its the moonshine in Kentucky that makes the hooligans act that way. It is alot easier on the eyes to watch a game on the "Blue" than the red at Eastern Washington.

Maybe they are smoking bluegrass? If so, they would have plenty of it to smoke at Boise State. Whoever designed that blue field ought to be shot. It's a crime. In Kentucky they might get a little happy, but they are at least smart enough to keep blue grass on the farm and not the football field!

I've heard that the college football rules committee is going to outlaw "blue grass" and is going to mandate that real college teams must play on "green grass."

The former athletic director came up with the idea of installing a synthetic blue turf and this town is mighty proud of "playing on the Blue." Many of the local high school teams play their on Thursday and Friday nights and it is a recruiting advantage for those who want to say they had the honor of "playing on the Blue." When it gets worn down and it is time for it to be replaced swatches are sold at prices comparable to their size. Their are dens and patios all over town that now sport original Bronco blue turf carpeting. I have heard of no one trying to smoke synthetic blue turf.

Too bad, Steven, you've chosen to miss some mighty fine football.

Have they ever done studies to see if the field can give an advantage, those who are not use to playing on that color field have to adapt to that color during play? I know use of colors like that have been used in the past by plenty of sports teams to tip the game in their favor, and is still used?

It seems to me that the uniqueness of the blue turf emphasizes to the Broncos, "this is our hourse," and we are proud to have you (the other team) come and challenge us, but this is "our house." I think their last loss on "the Blue" was to Boston College in a Humanitarian Bowl game about 5=6 years ago.

The blue turf has nothing to do with wins or losses. What next a blue football?

BJC just needs to play some real teams.

We start out with Michigan State this next season. Would you rate them as a REAL team? Last year we opened against Georgia in Atlanta, what more can the AD do?

How about playing 4 or 5 real teams in a season.

My sentiments exactly, gotta quit playing girl teams or you'll never see a BCS national championship berth.
