First of all, let me mention that Baldacci is not a favorite of mine (usually waaay too predictable) but this one caught my eye on my last trip to the library. Inside the front cover, "Why waste time discovering the truth when you can so easily create it?" I couldn't help but be grabbed by a line like that!
The story line ... a PR/PM firm works for a defense contractor and brings the planet to the edge of WWIII. Lies become the truth. Paranoia prevails.
Some vulgarity. Violence (of course -- it IS Baldacci, after all). Cool story line, though.
My eye on the news, the internet, Twitter, etc. is even more jaundiced now than it was before. This stuff could conceivably HAPPEN.
