There's greater than a 100% chance (is that possible?) that the "conversation" has drifted FAR FAR away from what Rich originally intended, I betcha.

Am I right?

Were items such as maybe driving through NW Indiana, with a van-load of snotty nosed kids mentioned, yet?

How about someone's brother-in-law's 5th cousin, on his mother's side of the family, bought a poodle in Gary, IN.

OH the richness of NazNet. It's almost like our family gatherings.

But, really. Northwest Indiana needed a new DS. Now they have one.

Haven't you ever started a conversation with a friend and changed subjects several times? One thing reminds you of another, so you talk about that, and so on, and so on, and so on.

Well, that's kind of how it is here. Normal conversations that veer off the original subject from time to time....

Speaking of church dinners - we pastored one church where there was a tendency for people to bring jello. Trying to get a little broader assortment, I asked one time for people to bring a green salad. They did - green jello.

See, Nelson? This is how "NORMAL" conversations go -- why should NazNet be any different?

My sister-in-law and I laugh about how we can talk about 3 different subjects in the same conversation and never be confused about which subject our comments refer to when we make them -- our husbands laugh at us......

So now, about that moon.......if anyone DOES capture a beautiful photo of it, make sure you post it to the Photography Board!!!! We'll be waiting on May 6th for all of your lovely photos!!! I hope mine is among them -- but we shall see.....

And Cynthia, I echo Marsha's words -- we will be praying for your mother.....

Maybe next year when we're reminiscing about how much friendlier NazNet used to be before a bunch of quarrelsome newbies showed up after General Assembly we will include something about how back in the old days Nelson would start a thread and we would all jump in and just enjoy each other's company.

Did I mention that we finally replaced our 20-year-old van? If a person can love a car, I loved that van....it still runs quite nicely and still looks good after all these years -- but it was time to change. What did we replace it with, you ask? Why, another Dodge Grand Caravan, of course!!

We haven't found a new home for the old van yet, but we're working on it. I want to take it on a good long drive before we do. I've never FIT a car like this one. After 20 years, I still enjoy driving it more than any other car!!! Strange.

Oh well, maybe I'll grow to love the new one like I did the old one.......

Now, what were we talking about?????

Thanks so much Marsha. She is a trooper but this stay has been particularly difficult due to her recent blindness. Thankfully, there is reason to be optimistic that she will be able to see again sometime near Christmas.

Funny you should ask -- her name was Baby Blue (she is metallic blue in color). I'll have to think about a name for the new one -- right now it just "the replacement." We aren't quite friends yet!!! ha ha

Well, cars tend to develop their own character. Require more maintenance as they grow older. Need more paint to cover damages. With a good car, you learn to live with the few issues she has, and appreciate her good sides.

It IS cool, but I didn't see a reference to the most obvious use for the Cardboard Tube. We referred to Tubes of any size as Whoo-Whoos, but the best suited for their prime purpose were those from wrapping paper. With long tubes such as those, one could stay far away from his or her victim, often sneaking up behind them to put the end of the tube close to their ear and say, "whoo-whoo!"

Of course, "whoo-whoo-ing" could lead to whacking, but that was only a secondary activity, particularly since, except for at Christmas, Whoo-Whoos tended to roll off the production line singularly and it takes two or more Tubes for a good whacking session. One Tube, however, is actually best for enjoying the fun of "whoo-whoo-ing". The victim has to wrestle your "Whoo-Whoo" away from you in order to retaliate, generally with their own "WHOO-WHOO to you too!"

You might be the holder of that record, Hans. We just put our 1992 Caravan out of commission. I thought THAT would be the oldest -- but yours beats that one!! I'm impressed!!! (we love old cars at our house!!)

If I was at home I think I could actually produce a picture. I loved that preschool Caravan class.
