Two great things happened this week:
First, I had my 2-year review with the Church Board and it went very well. It's a learning process for all of us, but we are committed to learning together.
Second, we found a house to purchase and they accepted our offer. It is in a much quieter neighborhood than the parsonage, and it has a yard for my kids and dog.
Praise God for his provision.

Sounds a little like mine. Ordination Monday, closing on our house Friday (and a baby due the next week).

Congratulations on a successful two year review. That is a big deal! Very happy for you and praying for God's wisdom and blessing on your ministry there. A good pastor can't do anything without good members on his side.

I grew up in farm country near Shipshewana. I can handle tractors and combines.It would have been a bit awkward if you'd been ordained and then not received a favorable review.
