    Larry Winget's speech for grads

This is brief, but I think he said more in 3 minutes than most commencement speakers say in 30. You can listen to it at the foxnews link or you can read it at the activerain link.

Some of you won't like it, but in my world it's spot on. It ought to be what every graduate hears.

From someone who's undoubtedly several clicks to the left of you politically, what's not to like? Made a lot of sense to me.

That goes along with what my dad told me, "If you are not worth twice as much to your boss based on your pay you are not doing your job right."

I think I'm worth my pay for my boss, not sure if it's twice. But I'm definitely worth my pay for what I do in church, because I don't get paid a thing. So two times zero is still zero

    Hey Glenn:
Are yawl still coming to Becky’s after District Assembly?
If not Becky said she would get me over to your place, somehow as it would be a shame to come 1900 miles and not see yawl.
It looks as if we are going to have some grandchildren there; Deborah who lives in Frisco, near your daughter and her two children, and Paula with her two children, of course all girls. Then of course Becky’s 4.
Let’s see the only males will be Karl, 10, Peter about 47, and the old grandpa, John 68.
I have bought a Chevy pickup, 2004 with 72,000 miles. It is red like that 56 GMC I had in Blevins, but it has only 5 cylinders. It runs like a scalded dog, I don’t know how I know that? Do you care to guess? You win!!!
Well, it looks as if Sharon, daughter # 2 was right when she said that after my visit to Bell’s Chapel, and how well they treated me, “Dad, I think you are back.?” I say thank God!!! It is with this caveat,”warts and all”.
I hope to see you as we are to be in Mooresville on June 5th and I think we leave the 15th.
Thank you, thank you, oh thank you, for your prayers support, and friendship for the last 7 years, but really since about 1960!!!
Did you hear the G.S’s joke about the two cowhands out in the panhandle of TEXA?
They were riding he range and noticed two buffalo among their cattle. One cowboy said to the other ,”Man God never created an uglier bovine than those two buffalo over there. ”one buffalo, asked, ”Are they out of earshot yet?” “Yes”’ said the other. “Well I just think I heard a discouraging word.” “Yep and the skies are not cloudy all day.”
With that I think I will go to bed.
Today my brother was 65.I ribbed him about joining the Social Security class.
May the Lord bless you and your and keep you good brother.!!!
    John
