I would like to use an electric dehydrator to make dog treats. Have you any suggestions to help me avoid mistakes?

I don't know about dog treats, but we have a dehydrator. It doesn't take a lot of skill. You just put what you want to dehydrate on a tray and turn it on.
You shouldn't dehydrate dogs. Cats ... no problem.

It takes a great deal of maturity to accept that trying to eliminate all risk eliminates life.

I'd say just put things like chicken, beef, turkey, etc.....kind of make like a jerky type of treat for the dogs. That would be interesting.
I have no clue how to make it work, because I don't have a dehydrator, but it seems simple enough.
I wouldn't add much in the way of spices, though, because dogs tend to like meat with NOTHING on it.....they pretty much like it whichever way they can get it!!!
Let us know how it turns out!!
