    Zeek Rewards Question

Hi again, one of my son's friends wants him to become involved in a scheme or company that I know absolutely nothing about. Further more he wants him to "invest" at least $A500.00 in the enterprise, so I am concerned, because my son doesn't have very much money.

It's called Zeek Rewards or something like that.

It seems a little bit "pyramidish" and a "get rich quick" scheme....
and therefore I am very suspicious of it. I live by the addage: "If it seems too good to be true it probably is"!

Since it is an American based enterprise, and most of you are Americans, you may have heard of this company? I would appreciate finding out more about it from more independant minded people such as we have here on Naznet.

Thanks your help will be appreciated.

Here's a link that gives info. If you read part way down they say that only 3% are successful.

Thanks Jon, that link is particularly helpful.
I've shown this to my son, who is still determined to have a go at it....
So I've advised him to keep his invested amounts small..... and to work it like a job..... i.e. Diligently and to get as much information about how to run the business as successfully as he can.

    Re: Zeek Rewards Question

Hi David, I studied that offer about 6 months ago and it looked like something fun to do and it looked like a "sure thing" ... But the more I studied it.. the more it sounded like a PONZI. And it is a PURE PONZI Scheme. people can join for little to nothing and dink around with pennies, but the lure and investment is putting money upfront into your Zeek account which will grow at crazy % rates. It uses the Penny Auction as a way to skirt the law...but its really other people putting in thousands of $$$ with the expectation to earn high rates that push the profits. Its Bernie Madof repackaged. I could never join this and then promote this Ponzi to others. Some might see it differently. It will collapse. Its just a matter of when.

I am not familiar with this particular company, but early in my legal career I was hired to represent a guy who started such a company. He wasn't a client I would have accepted, but his uncle was a major client of my law firm and asked me to represent his nephew "as a favor."

From what I learned there, I have alway avoided business ventures that depend on getting others to join and invest. They always "crash." The only ones who benefit are the ones who get in and get out early. I wouldn't get involved.

    Re: Zeek Rewards Question

Someone I know just left a legitimate network marketing company for this. She and her husband had reached the highest level of the NM company. Now, people leave NM companies for other NM companies all the time, but to leave for something like this was a real shocker! I looked at it to see what it was and was just so surprised that they would do this and I'm even more so now after reading what has been said here. I think penny auctions are something of a scam myself, anyway, so I've never participated.

I think your advice to your son was good, David, since he insists on doing it. Sometimes, though, when you get into something like this, it is easy to just keep throwing money at it. It's like gambling. Not good. I wish him well.
    Blessings,
    Betty
