The Grants have finally entered the 21st century....

Our 15-year-old TV finally bit the dust (I have been looking forward to that!! Yippeee!!)

We ventured out and bought a new flat screen TV with built-in WI-FI.

Then we discovered that our modem and router for the wireless internet is very old (2005).....resulting in the TV not connecting to the wireless network.

SOOOO.....
Today, I installed a Netgear data gateway (cable modem plus router all in one). I changed the network name and the key, then I got the TV wireless working (Netflix). And it all works. I'm so impressed with myself!! ha ha ha

I just thought I would share that. I do not have the greatest electronic capabilities, so this was a pretty major accomplishment. Bert hooked up all of the TV/cable/DVD player/sound.....so I thought the least I could do is make the wireless work!!

Here's the funny thing -- all of that work to bring our family into the 21st Century????

The first thing we watched on Netflix on the TV was...............
