Perhaps the new server can be the start of a new tone of civil discource. I am not meaning to single you out Todd I simply think we to allow more openess to discussion. Not everyone is at the same place in their thinking and I think at times I might have hesitated in expressing an opinion on these topics for fear of being branded as one of "those" people.

I think that the general observation over time was that each new entrant into that "conversation" had a personal crusade they wanted to pursue, or somebody who already had a crusade would hijack.

If we can, as a community, veer away from crusades and actually pursue this sort of thing civilly, then certainly, I think that there's a lot more room.

One thing I noticed from the Emerging Church crowd on the old hard drive, may it rest in server hell, was an Inerrant attempt to explain away Homosexual behavior from a Biblical point of view. With full Foreknowledge there was an Abortive attack that showed it was Predestined for Socialists to be habitually wrong, unless they were also Non-Americans in which case they were most certainly wrong.
