    Peculiarity with cable modem

Our neighbors share internet with us (yes, they know we use it, too) and just upgraded from DSL to Cable. I am currently connected using that signal, but it seems to be greatly distressed. I had two security updates that refused to complete, and haven't been able to get a stream of the Olympics to last more than 10 seconds. They are having identical problems with video and download, so we know it isn't just on my end.

What would cause packages to stop receiving like this? Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

(Also I have tried this on multiple browsers with no change in performance or the lack thereof.)

Maybe there are just do many trying it that even other parts of the i'net are affected, too. For instance, a few minutes after reading this, a message appeared here that I have never seen here before. Will post a screen shot of it:

Sure do not see any button here whereby one can ask for this info, that I could have accidentally clicked, either. Hmmmm . . . And it is not about my connection, either ... I am on AT&T DSL, not the Comcast mentioned in this screen shot. Weird!

ETA: just realized, Nate, that there is also a TN noted in that note by Comcast. Did your IP etc get posted maybe, as I see you are in Tennessee! Very strange! For it to publicly do that, would that mean you folks' hookup is not all secured yet ??
