    Whats your coffee?

Like many I have an addiction to coffee.
I love Douwe Egberts..a great dutch coffee. But recentl have changed to Taylors of Harrogate "Hot Lava Java" a stronger coffee.
I prefer my coffee strong, the stronger the better.
What coffee do you drink? and why?

    Re: Whats your coffee?

I don't drink any because I don't like the taste. Yes I know, I'm weird.

    Re: Whats your coffee?

I'm with Hans.....However, I DO drink it when I am extremely exhausted and there's work to finish -- probably once or twice a month. The reason is, the coffee JOLTS me awake even after 5 or 6 sips, which is what I usually take. I rarely drink more than half a cup.

So, right now I'm using the Dunkin Donuts regular coffee that I purchased at the grocery store.

It's okay. But I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means!!! I TOLERATE the taste now. I doubt that I'll ever be a REAL coffee drinker!!

And my husband won't touch the stuff!!!

At church, I stock mostly African light roasts - Kenya AA, Tanzania AAA - which we grind daily. At home, Sams Club breakfast blend beans work for me.

This is the supplier of the church's coffee. Great stuff, reasonably priced. http://www.waterstreetcoffeejoint.com/learn-origins.php

I like the local small roaster, but as I prefer a dark (read French) roasted Sumatra, which he doesn't sell, I tend towards Starbucks. Not that Starbucks is better than others but they have a commitment to buying ethically traded coffees, even those that aren't certified Fair Trade.

    Re: Whats your coffee?

I'm the only coffee drinker in the house - my wife gave me a single cup Keurig (sp?) for Christmas. I usually eat breakfast in a bagel shop down the hill in Loma Linda and drink 2 or 3 cups while I read several newspapers. There I normally drink a French Roast - no cream or sugar ('barefooted' as my Grandfather phrased it).
Other than an occasional cup at Starbucks (giftcards) that's it for the caffeine. If I drink coffee in the evening it's de-caff with some of the creamy elixir that is one of the bases of a belief that the Irish saved civilization.
My Dad used to say that he knew he could stop drinking coffee - he'd done it every year for the past 20 years.
Of course, there are those who do manage the trick. The old Herald of Holiness used to print a list of the latest quitters in each issue.

I'm cheep. Folgers and a little cream. Occasional Starbucks with gift cards. The best is the local shop just down the hill from the church. Vinaccio Coffee Marysville location. My Family Life Pastor calls it his second office.

The signal that the bright and eternal new day has dawned will be when coffee tastes as good as it smells. Some of it, indeed, comes close. But we are faithful. We keep putting our taste buds on the line in the hope of reconciliation with our olfactory senses. I believe..........

The only coffee I ever had that I could say I liked was vanilla flavored, more vanilla than coffee. I used to drink about half a dose, for medicinal purposes.

You don't have to live like that. You can get decent beans at Sams or Costco for not much more in price

Peeked & learned this is the Kalamazoo Water Street. My sister's street is just off Water Street, so she is not far from here. Maybe we will have to check it out sometime when we get back down there.

OK, just mapquested it. Further than I thought ... she is off Lake St, not Water St (well, lakes have water too, is my only excuse for getting them confused! ), so instead of just around the corner, she's 2.3 miles from it. Still not far, tho, to check it out, & hope it is good, eh?

It is very good in the store as well. The church is a commercial account so we order and they ship. But I have stopped in as well for a cup.

When I do drink coffee I want a coffee that has only 1 mg per ounce of caffeine and will support my support my immune system, provide me with energy and stamina. I will only drink coffee that is good for me and taste great without being over price. For $1.00 you can have 2-3 cups. When Take coffee that made from Arabica coffee bean and then add Ganoderma lucidum to that coffee you have the answer to health seeker’s prayers. If anyone who would like to try couple of cups of this coffee PM your mailing address.
    Thanks

    Re: Whats your coffee?

Having been a Dunkin's fan for years, I am surprised to find my list is thus:
Keurig's "Donut House" coffee is my preferred. Brewed at 8oz size.
McDonalds Newman's Own is the *best* on the open market. Excellent iced, as well - tell them to hold the sugar or they put it in automatically. Great deal where you get it for $1 any size.
Starbucks Veranda became a favorite on my first cup.

Served with Half and Half, no sugar.

Www.epdservices.com Blue Eyed Mary is my favorite. Its a light roast with a great flavor.

Confession time...I think I'm as hooked on Creamora as on coffee...I like a lot of the white stuff in my coffee.

My absolute new favorite for grinding at home (Although you can find it in restaurants also) is Gordon Food Services (GFS) Mosaic International - Italian Roast!

Next, ground for home is Folgers Black Silk.

But, Ill any drink coffee from a hoof print if necessary

Yes, Gina, McD's has been serving Newman's Own for some time. I find it is consistent quality no matter which McD's I get it from. Really good; funny, I prefer drinking it from McDonalds rather than brewing it in my Keurig. That is where I prefer Donut House Coffee by Green Mtn Roasters.

    Re: Whats your coffee?

Is that their unnamed one that all use, do you know, or are some out East perhaps the only ones using it?

You see, earlier tonight I took our ballots over to the city offices, since we forgot to mail them. Then, since near a McD's, drove through & asked about it, & they said they had never even heard of it. Hmmm . . . . Do know that, when on the road & need a cup of coffee it will usually be McD's b/c it seems to, for the most part, be somewhat consistent wherever.

Some vary on that definition ... & the price. For instance, this one in, I think, Paradise Valley Mall (ne Phx area) was "free senior coffee @ 50." Then some require more age and, like you said, a lesser price instead of free.

Ugh. That would be an awful thorn in the flesh. Both the stones, and having to give up the bean.
