We are not a big church. We usually run around 80-90 people. Every year our VBS is high energy and pretty successful. This week we averaged about 60 kids.
Our offering went to fight hunger in Africa. The kids were really into the whole offering. Not just the girls vs. boys thing, but the whole concept of feeding families in Africa. One 5 year old went home the first night worried about the hungry children and asked his mom, "Couldn't we send them food from our snack cupboard?" and "What are they going to do until we get our money to them?"
Some little girls were compelled to open a lemonade stand on their street today to raise more money. In total, our 60 kids raised $2341.57 to feed African children.
