In regard to the second sentence - is this perchance your 'spiritual gift'?

John K, unless you have set the settings for the lightweight version of this BBS, just to the right of the box in which you write are several smilies.
Put your cursor where you want the smilie, go to the right & click on the smilie . . . can be done in up to six places (the limit/post) . . . & VOILA!! They show up after clicking on the "reply to post" button.
ETA: What smilies you do not see to the right can be found by clicking on the "more" found under them.
