    Buying a new TV

Well, our 20-something year old Toshiba TV seems to have died. It has served as our primary TV.

    Any recommendations?

Cost is the major factor. I'm thinking of something around 30" or 32"

Nah - go to Best Buy and get a 42" - it will last you for years, and by then all TV's will be some kind of float in the air, 3D jobs. If you get a 32" it'll feel like a dinosaur while it's still new.

Mike, does your 55+ neighborhood allow TV's? If so, I recommend the Bidford T-1000 60 inch plasma screen with dual sets of six speakers and bass enhanced acoustics with built in blue ray, red ray and ultra ray dvd players for simultaneous playing and recording features. Your entire 55+ community will enjoy your new tv.

But John, it is my understanding that the Bidford T-1000 requires its own power source, such as a wind farm or hydroelectric plant. I think that is not allowed in our community. However, I have not seen any restrictions on a personal nuclear power plant.
