Appreciate prayer for my daughter Carissa, who is now in Mongolia teaching English.
Please pray for my son Luke, who has moved to Nashville, and has not been able to find a place to live or a job.

Is Luke a musician who goes there hopeful?
(just have to ask, having contemplated such a move at various times in the past ....)![]()

It takes a great deal of maturity to accept that trying to eliminate all risk eliminates life.

I will try to remember your children in prayer, Mike. As a retired ESL teacher who has taught overseas, may I say I am a little bit envious of your daughter having the opportunity to teach English in Mongolia. May God make it a rich year of experiences for her.

There are good people in Nashville. What is Luke looking to do?

If you would like to follow Carissa's journey in Mongolia, she can be followed through her blog

I would also continue to appreciate prayers for my son Luke, who continues to look for a place to live and a job in the Nashville area.

Ask that you continue to pray for my son Luke. He has one job, and is waiting to hear the results of a recent interview with World Vision.
He has not found a place to live, and spends most nights sleeping in his car.

Thanks for your prayers. My son has found an apartment with some TNU grads. We both will sleep better.
And I know you will be blessed if you read the latest installment of my daughter's blog from Mongolia

Wanted to bring you an update on my children, for those of you who have prayed for them.
Carissa is doing well teaching English at a university in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. She is building real relationships, and able to live out the life of love, grace, and peace as a witness to her students and colleagues.
Luke is doing well in Nashville. On the music side of things, he is quite pleased with how things are going in the studio, and getting ready to release some new music in the near future. He is living in an apartment with two Trevecca alums, and that is a blessing now that the weather is colder. He started a new job this week, working at a hotel near the airport.
God has so blessed us as he has answered prayers for our children.
