It is essentially Dinesh D'Souza's film version of his books The Root of Obama's Rage and Obama's American where he makes the case that Obama is driven by an Anti Coloniel ideology (which D'Souza believes has gone, by and large, under the radar of most of the American public) passed on from his father by his mother and fathers family and what he believes the consequences of this ideology will have for America if Obama is reelected in November.

"Love without holiness disintegrates into sentimentality. Personal integrity is lost. But holiness without love is not holiness at all. In spite of its label, it displays harshness, judgmentalism, a critical spirit, and all its capacity for discrimination end in nit-picking and divisiveness."-Mildred Bangs Wynkoop
The entire premise is based on the idea that in the two weeks they spent together when Obama was like 8 or 10 or something, his father's entire political philosophy was passed on to the son, who in turn spent his entire life dedicated to carrying it out (ie - the giving of power from colonial occupiers to those countries they occupied).
There's any number of reasons to look askance at this film, but it's getting a pretty wide audience right now.
Think the conservative version of Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11.

Pretty much right except saying that D'Souza's whole argument is only based on Obama's very brief time with his father. I read"The Root of Obama's Rage" and the author pulls mainly from Obama's own words from "Dreams of my Father" along with quotes and interviews from family and people who knew his father and passed on much of the info about Barak Obama Sr to his son throughout his life.

This movie finally arrived in our town. We had a pretty full theater when viewing it today. The problem with this movie is that Conservatives like me will be alarmed and it will reinforce everything they've suspected about Obama to be true. The problem is, too many Americans won't be alarmed by it. They could care less if our president sides with the Falklands over the British. They don't care if we have a diminished American. They don't care if we are no longer a force for good in the world. They don't care if we have less nuclear warheads while Russia keeps building more. They don't care if Obama promotes others drilling for oil, but is against America doing the same thing. The mentality is that we need to be punished because we are undeserving so need to be restrained.
Sorry to get on my soapbox with a movie review, but that's how I felt after thinking about what was presented in the movie. I thought it was very insightful into the President's thinking. But how many Americans care? Hopefully more do than don't. Guess we'll find out in November.

I'm still waiting for an apology from Focus on the Family, since none of the predictions they made about Obama's America in 2012 have come true.

I guess I'll wait on another apology from this producer in four years.
