QUESTION re COMPUTER & re "HOT SWAP BAY"(?)

Here's something we hope we can maybe hear on soon. (ends 9/4)

Been 9 months since PC died, & this just might be good, if Lenova is OK (or is store-bought better, its being hsrd to ship anything back gotten this way?):

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&sku=T71-13008

Sounds not too bad, $500 instead of $700 ... also, another question:

What on earth is a "3.5 inch hot swap bay" seen here? What goes/fits there??

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/include/A...3008&imgcart=1

*(ETA: It pops up on the first picture, so click on the second one where the labels are. Thanks.)*

    Thanks much!!

    Doggone! Suddenly it's already $600, not $500!

Apparently the 9/4 meant the beginning of, not the end of! Bummer !

Anyway, if I find any other with that strange bay . . . ???

Re: QUESTION re COMPUTER & re "HOT SWAP BAY"(?)

OK, just went back to the email. It said:

    (1) the send time was about 5am Monday.
    (2) said it was a 48-hour sale.
    (3) said it would end "September 4!"

Now, Monday being the holiday or not, they SENT it Monday, saying it was 48 hours, & ended 9/4. Would you not think it might be almost 48 hrs from when they sent it, and that it would end at the END of the day they said it would end, NOT the moment that "end date" was BEGINNING!?

Soooooo, am going to CALL THEM TOMORROW, the 4th, and try to talk to them about HONORING THAT EMAIL, and not try to say I would need to pay $100 more than what was seen when opening it in less than 24 hrs after receipt! If they do not, they're not reputable, in spite of having now found some very decent reviews online for them. Let's hope & pray ... been a long time since the PC died o/a 05dec11.

Thanks for helping me pray they will be decent about this.

    Gina,

A "Hot Swap Bay" is a hard drive bay. It allows you to remove the hard drive ans put another in it's place while the machine is running (after you tell the computer to stop using that drive). For most users there would never be a need for you to remove the drive unless you use it for backup.
Thanks Gina Stevenson - "thanks" for this post
