John Kennedy participated in a duet at the memorial service for Orval J. Nease, on Friday. I thought Naznetters might appreciate as much as we did, his ministry.

Thanks, Dennis. 'Always nice to see/hear fellow NazNetters ... was fun making it a trio, too.
Blessings.

A beautiful church. Where is the church and what is its name? Looks almost Catholic. Was Orv Nease a Catholic Cardinal?

Doubly beautiful, because that song has very special meaning to me.
John, you need to read my post (attack on the CotN) about the Reformed Nazarenes and the inroads they claim the RC are making among Nazarenes. I would be very alarmed, were I not a Congregationalist.
Actually the church is the First Congregational Church of Redlands, CA. Orv was a deacon there (Congregationalist cardinals are a rare breed - practically none of them in captivity)
and he and Jean have belonged there for years. It was my church for about 15 years until I accepted a music director's job at another Congregational Church in a nearby town. I genuinely enjoyed and appreciated the ministry of FCC - the minister, a Fuller grad, once described the church as 'evangelical with a mainline face'.
I had visited Orv and Jean a month or so before Orv's death, and Jean and I were talking about our Nazarene roots. The concensus was that we wre happy where we were now, but were grateful for where we'd started.
Incidentally, in the video the gray haired gentleman on the left hand side was Orv's younger brother, Bob, who delivered the eulogy. Orv's son, Bud, a man with a fantastic voice, also sang in the service.
I had known Orv and Jean for over 35 years and appreciated the honor of having a part in his memorial.
And it goes without saying (but I generally say it anyhow) that it was a real pleasure to see Dennis and Linda again.

That song was at Danny's funeral. The Thank You (for giving to the Lord) song the singer did not know, so asked if this could be done instead (also being re giving thanks/glory). Have wanted to get it from a VHS video to here, as it was done well. This gives me incentive to try again, seeing this posted on the day I found what I hope is an OK PC replacement.
ETA: ($269.99, HP p6-2110 w/Win7, 4G RAM, 1T HD, but just pentium instead of i-3,5,7 ... figuring if I end up back on dial-up, after all the silly billing mess-ups by AT&T, a whole yr's worth ... 6 months' worth @a time/2x, would be paying for a faster processor than dial-up could deal with, anyway.)
