And we are having Dr. Dan Boone this week at MNU and Olathe College Church.
Sure hope no Nazarenes are concerned about that

Bill, has anyone ever discussed with you this barely repressed tendency to spread oil on troubled waters and then light a match? (I'd put a 'smilie' if I weren't diagnosed with TCI <terminal cyber ineptness>)

As you are posting, John, look to the right of the box into which you are typing. Click on one of those little gizmos ... or two or three or four ... and it should show something like this in the typing box "smilie0722" (only to look like a smilie when done/posted, it will show in your typing box with a colon where each of these quotes now is).

Of course, you could do that old-fashioned semi-colon/right parentheses smilie that comes out looking like this:
Life beats down and crushes the soul and art reminds you that you have one.

Probably not the brightest idea I ever had.
But, without humor, life can be pretty grim.
(And I am smart enough to back off after the match is lit).

Again this fall I am very pleased and still somewhat amazed.

ONU students are required to attend chapel. But not the other revival services.

Last night the attendance at College Church was 1210, so the place was packed, with most of them students.

THAT tells you something....not just about the GREAT preaching by Scott Daniels, but also about these kids who want to know Him better.

    I thank HIM.

I finally got some video to work and watched today's service live. Thanks for the link, Nelson. A great message. Some shots of the end:

Re: ONU Fall Revival with NazNetter Dr. T. Scott Daniels

This is how our revival closed. Friends, it just doesn't get any better than this.
Please excuse the pic - taken via my digital from our TV via HDMI hook up from my laptop last evening....but this is how the service closed.

    Amazing grace
    How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
    And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
    The hour I first believed
    My chains are gone
    I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
    Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
    His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
    As long as life endures

    My chains are gone
    I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
    Unending love, Amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
    The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
    Will be forever mine
    Will be forever mine
    You are forever mine

I miss many things about my time at ONU, but revival time is definitely in the top 3 of that list.
