From rewiring a light switch, to landscaping with gravel to changing spark plugs to trimming a goatee, there are people on the Internet talking about how to do those things, usually with video explanation.
Man, I like the Internet!

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us wthout end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

Yeah boy! No doubt about it.
Years back I had bought a Sony camera. Absolutely loved it, until it quit working. Now what? Fixing it is probably going to be expensive and maybe not reliable. Sure enough, somebody with too much time had posted a tutorial with pictures on how to fix it for free. Sat the laptop and the camera. Down on the kitchen counter and presto, all set in twenty minutes!
A couple of years later, the sensor let go and all the pictures were pink. Sure enough somebody posted information about a recall. Followed the link, printed up the forms and Sony fixed it for free.
One of my snowmobiles had an unpublished issue with a water pump gear that would seperate and wear into the case and eventually grenade. Read about it on dootalk, pulled it apart and found that the gear had already seperated but hadn't yet worn into the case. Total repair cost, $45.
That's only a couple of things, the world wide interweb is an incredible resource!

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.
