Please click the Jukebox to select music. Peace. Now there's a word! So few of us have true peace in this world today. We are rushed about our lives, worried about our health, concerned about our children, and frightened about our future. We even get so caught up in church affairs that we can lose sight of the peace we once had! Why do we make it so difficult? Did you read Psalm 37? Here we find the keys to peace! Verse 3 says,
Dwell in the land and Enjoy safe pasture. Verse 4 says,
He will give you the desires of your heart. Verse 5 says,
Trust in him and He will do this: Verse 6 says,
dawn, the justice of your cause like the sun. Verse 7 says,
Wait patiently for him; Do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Turn from wrath; Do not fret -- it leads only to evil. Read back over the keys that are highlighted. Do you begin to get the idea? These are the keys to peace: Trust, dwell, enjoy, delight, He will, commit, trust, He will, He will, be still, wait patiently, do not fret, refrain, turn, do not fret. Nowhere do I see words like: fear, work, difficult, you must, go constantly, worry, worry, strife... What marvelous promises are contained in these words! He wants us to have a happy, peaceful life. No more and no less. How can we do that? Throughout these keys there are three just alike: He will. You see, we can't find peace unless we let Him have control. If we are willing to let Him, He will!!! Don't try to live in your own strength, it will never do. We must trust, dwell, commit, be still, wait patiently, refrain, turn, and do not fret! All of these words turn us away from ourselves and toward God. Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord." Heed these words in everyday life, make the keys yours, and live in peace. Lynda Kuhn ![]() Father, I'm starting to listen. The repetition is doing me good. Thank you for repeating yourself over and over. Many times I wish I were not so slow to learn. Many times I wish I had trusted you more in the first place. You give such a wonderful gift of peace and I cover it up with worry. I enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to rest in your reassuring arms through your reassuring words. Thank you for that opportunity.
